Varicose Veins
Varicose veins are enlarged, superficial veins appearing
bluish in color. Most often seen in the legs, they
can occur in almost any part of the body. Weakened
valves inside the structure of the vein along with
unhealthy connective tissue cause stagnation of blood
that dilates or enlarges the vein. Inflammation, pain,
edema (excess fluid), and itching are commonly associated
with varicose veins. Endermotherapie (Endermologie)
works to improve connective tissue health and eliminate
the stagnation of blood to sooth and quickly lighten
the heavy tired feeling of the legs.
Scarring
A scar forms during the physiological healing process.
Initially, a wound closes by forming a blood clot followed
by the migration of fibroblasts. Fibroblasts produce
collagen and elastin and create a network of new fibers.
These new fibers are in fact in a state of fibrosis,
inflamed, thick tissues that block return circulation.
During this stage of healing, complications can include
pain from fibrosis compressing the nerves and tissues
that anchor to the lower levels of the body such as
muscle, organs and bones. These complications often
lead to restricted movement and improper posture. Endermologie
allows pain free mobilization to reduce fibrosis without
pressure or squeezing. It increases circulation and
rebuilds collagen and elastin.
Fibrosis
Fibrosis is the densification of connective tissue
most often caused by insufficient blood and lymphatic
flow. Endermologie reduces fibrosis through manipulative
mobilization of the connective tissues allowing normal
circulation to return to the treated area.
Lymph edema
Lymph edema is the accumulation of excess proteins
that are unable to enter into the blood stream. An
insufficient lymphatic system causes fibrosis, the
build up of proteins and fluids leading to pain, stiffness
and limited range of mobility in the limbs. Endermologie
treatments work to reduce fibrosis and edema therefore
reducing pain and increasing mobility.
Surgery
Surgical operations, medications and anesthesia can
have some repercussions such as edema, stiffness, bruising,
pain and often constipation. Endermologie not only
stimulates the venous and lymphatic system, it also
promotes proper circulation, allowing the body to flush
out the waste toxins from the prescribed medications.
As fibrosis decreases, pain and stiffness diminish,
and the digestive system can function properly.
Pre/Post-Liposuction
Pre: Liposuction is a surgical procedure
performed to reduce the circumference of the body. Traditionally,
during liposuction, a cannula is used to remove fat cells
(adipocytes) from the areas storing the extra fat. Endermologie
treatments prior to liposuction can be a good option.
It prepares the tissues in the hypodermis to facilitate
the cannula’s passage and ease fat removal.
Post: Liposuction is generally performed
in the superficial fat reserve to reduce circumference and
reshape the body. When diet and exercise fail, liposuction
can be the answer. However, when cellulite is the concern,
liposuction is not the answer. Cellulite resides in the hypodermis,
which is located on top of the superficial fat reserve. Because
cellulite is predicted by hormones, diet and exercise, even
liposuction does not get rid of it. Generally, liposuction
is not performed to reduce cellulite, because, residing in
the hypodermis, cellulite is too close to the surface of the
skin. Liposuction performed in the hypodermis can leave uneven
results. Endermologie combines aspiration and two motorized
rollers to mobilize and fold the skin, thereby, lengthening
the connective tissue, reducing lymphedema and restoring proper
circulation. Post-liposuction Endermologie is recommended by
many surgeons worldwide. It can lead to less pain and edema
and facilitate smoothing of the areas that pose irregularities
in the symmetry of the body.
Postpartum
After pregnancy, women may experience stretch marks, loose
skin, circulatory problems and an increase of cellulite due
to rapid hormonal fluctuations. Scientific studies confirm
that Endermologie treatments will dramatically increase circulation,
exfoliate and tighten the skin, increase the production of
collagen and elastin leading to a smoother silhouette and improved
self-confidence.
Menopause
Menopause typically begins in a woman's fifty’s, starts
as perimenopause and is responsible for the loss of hormonal
production. There are many uncomfortable side effects including:
hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, weariness, depression,
reduction of bone mass, thinning of the epidermis, loss of
skin elasticity and firmness, as well as significant changes
in body shape. Endermologie, a relaxing total body massage,
promotes proper circulation, improved skin texture and well-being.
Sagging Skin
Sagging of the skin is caused by age, weight fluctuations,
hormonal variations, poor diet and lack of exercise. As the
body ages, the skin loses its ability to produce collagen and
elastin. Endermologie mechanically stimulates connective tissues
to reduce fibrosis and increase the production of collagen
and elastin giving the skin a firm, radiant look.
