Cosmecanique
Aestheticians world wide are taught to stimulate facial skin using
the le Pince’ de Jacquet method. A nearly 100 year old technique
introduced by Dr. Jacquet, a French Dermatologist, consisted of
manually squeezing, twisting and kneading the skin. This technique
was developed to help combat what Dr. Jacquet labeled as “cutaneous
hypotonia” or “skin fatigue”, as well as to treat
oily and acne-blemished skin.
Today, the le Pince’ de Jacquet technique has been reinvented
and perfected through a technologically advanced device called
the Lift 6, or Cosmecanique. Both methods provide increased circulation,
stimulation, and relaxation but can differ greatly in the delivery.
The Lift 6 technique produces a consistent therapy, without applying
excessive pressure, allowing for enhanced results.
Cosmecanique facial massage mechanically stimulates facial skin
and its underlying structure like no other treatment can. The process
is painless, non-invasive, and tailored precisely to your skin
type and sensitivity.
As we age, our skin is subjected to a wide range of external irritants
like ultraviolet rays, pollution and free radicals such as pesticides
and tobacco to name a few. Because facial skin is the most exposed
area of the skin along with the neck, décolleté’ and
hands, they tend to prematurely show signs of aging. Tell tale
signs include broken capillaries, puffiness, loose skin, fine lines,
crows’ feet, wrinkles, dry patches, and dulling complexion.
Other contributing factors to premature aging of the skin are gravity,
body weight swings, lack of proper hydration and eating an unbalanced
diet.
What to do?
Taking
charge of your personal well-being by using sunscreen, not smoking,
drinking proper amounts of water daily, eating a good mix of
natural fruits, vegetables and whole grains can compliment your
skin. However, there are still those extrinsic - environmental
and intrinsic - genetic factors that challenge us in achieving
a youthful appearance. Cosmecanique treatments allow you to naturally
exercise the skin, repairing and conditioning the epidermis and
dermis. These outer most layers of the skin respond to the mechanical
stimulation of the Lift 6, (Cosmecanique), by loosening connective
tissue bands, and reducing excess fluids that build up in the
tissues. Every inch of the skin is exercised and conditioned
by providing intense three-dimensional stimulation.
